I work in a mixture of medias. Fibers is my first love, my “Ya Ya” taught me to crochet
as a child. Experimentation in many directions for me often weaves its way back to fibers.
My roots are in a tiny unincorporated town in rural Wisconsin. We played together outside all day, all year long.
We strung necklaces out of dandelions, catalpa flowers and leaves, dug in the sandbox and collected many creatures,
I love fog and clouds as much as fresh air and sunshine. Family, faith, and nature often entwine as themes throughout my art.
Currently I’m using the natural dye process, Eco Printing, to use botanicals bundled with natural fibers to “print” their image
onto scarves and other wearables thru heat and direct contact.
