All artwork is expected to be original and handmade by local Wisconsin artists. There will also be some antiques for sale this year. There will also be some antiques for sale this year. I can't resist having antiques at this event because I find the craftsmanship of these early pieces to be so beautiful and inspiring. Our local American Legion Post 486 will be serving food and beverages, Steve Cohen, well-known Milwaukee blues musician and potter, will provide some great music for us to enjoy throughout our event. Catelyn Picco, singer/songwriter will play Saturday afternoon for a few hours out of the back of my 55 Dodge pickup truck on the lawn. Sippie Hippie will be here to serve up coffee and other special beverages and Belshire Brewing Company with provide their refreshing craft beer (don't forget to bring your growler or grab some cans to take home some beer).
Every year we highlight something different, and this year we are excited to showcase the unique talents of various local artists with disabilities from Cedarburg Mercantile and Blossom IDD. The goal is to support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to hone their individual talents and gifts, and give them a platform to blossom into one of our valued community members and beyond.
Please help us get the word out again by sharing our event with your friends and following us on social media. We really appreciate your support.

Art in the barn was established in 2018 with my dear friend, and talented artist, Sher Schachameyer. Sher has since moved too far away to partake, but continues to inspire and support our event remotely. Our hope is that this event is always a little bit more of a personal experience than other art fairs and that everyone enjoys themselves. People tell me they come for the art and stay to soak in the atmosphere. Ultimately we hope you‘ll find value in taking home a piece of original art AND we hope you‘ll take a time to appreciate the level of work created by this amazing group.
